The Veriheal team is incredibly proud and moved to share that our Co-Founders, Joshua Green and Samuel Adetunji, have been named on The Root 100: The Most Influential African Americans in 2020 alongside top industry and cultural trailblazers like Colin Kaepernick, LeBron James, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Beatrice Dixon, and Issa Rae. The list, curated by The Root annually, honors Black leaders and trailblazers making history across industries and communities within arts, entertainment, media, politics, STEM, sports, and more.

Green and Adetunji faced several barriers while building a successful online platform for medical marijuana patients, from having doors closed to investors and banks and navigating the confusing landscape of healthcare, medical cannabis law, and technological challenges.
Today, they are dedicated to the continual growth of Veriheal, an online platform that helps people find healing in these trying times. Throughout it all, Green and Adetunji have built Veriheal on the foundational principles of education, health, and community as they strive to destigmatize cannabis as alternative medicine and treatment for those who need it.

In 2020, Green and Adetunji piloted the Innovation in Cannabis Scholarship to support the next generation of students studying cannabis and crafting innovative solutions to the ever present challenges in the industry.
