We had the amazing opportunity to speak with the Pot Brothers at Law<\/a>, brothers Marc and Craig Wasserman. You may recognize them as Instagram celebrity cannabis attorneys from their informative and entertaining tip of the day videos in which they remind marijuana patients of their rights and how to go about talking to police officers about having marijuana in your car. We spoke to Marc and Craig about why you should get a medical marijuana card if you don\u2019t already have one and how to exercise your legal rights. Watch here to learn from two legal professionals with a collective 50 years of experience, both of whom are medical marijuana patients themselves.<\/p>\n

Anthony:\u00a0<\/b>Veriheal had the unique opportunity recently to speak with celebrity cannabis attorneys Marc and Craig Wasserman from Pot Brothers at Law. They explain why you should get your medical marijuana card. Watch to learn more<\/p>\n

Craig:\u00a0<\/b>Absolutely, people are fooling themselves, if they\u2019re taking it without a recommendation, if they don\u2019t think it\u2019s medical anyways.\u00a0The main way is, God forbid, you carry over an ounce of weed on you, that\u2019s a misdemeanor. So, if you have your card, you can have up to eight ounces, but it’s the guidelines, and the cops usually know those guidelines for medical patients. Just eight ounces. So, why wouldn\u2019t you get it? Everybody stopped getting them when adult use came out. We think that\u2019s silly. It\u2019s just as easy to go get a recommendation and have that much more protection. Plus, with your medical recommendation, you can actually smoke in areas that you can otherwise not smoke if you weren\u2019t a patient.<\/p>\n

Marc:<\/strong> So right, in California, with your physician’s recommendation, there become five places that you cannot smoke. Within 1,000 feet of a school or youth facility, no smoking zone, in a motor vehicle that\u2019s operating, while operating a boat, and on a school bus. Anywhere else, if people are lighting up cigarettes and stuff, you can smoke. Now, it is worth noting that private places, like you know restaurants and Disneyland and other places like that, have whatever rules they have. Most of those places, while they allow cigarette smoke, they don\u2019t allow cannabis smoke, so that would still be considered a no smoking zone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
