California Legislature Set to Vote on Hemp Bill<\/h2>\n

It’s an exciting time for California cannabis companies. After years of deliberation, California Legislature is set to conduct its final vote this week on Assembly Bill 45<\/a>, a bill that could have massive ramifications on the structure and regulations surrounding hemp sales in the state. Marijuana businesses are currently prohibited from selling hemp goods, as well as CBD outside of dispensary settings. With a variety of concerns from all stakeholders on the line, many are enthusiastically awaiting the outcome of this contentious vote.<\/p>\n

Researchers Find Decreased Youth Cannabis Use in Legalized States<\/h2>\n

According to the researchers of a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA)<\/a> on Tuesday, youth cannabis use does not increase in states that enact marijuana legalization. Though prohibitionists have traditionally used the concern of youth consumption as a deterrent from legalization, JAMA researchers found that the establishment of regulated cannabis models actually correlates with decreased marijuana use among adolescents. The study, which received partial funding through a federal National Institutes of Health grant, analyzed 26 years’ worth of data in 10 states.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Missouri Cannabis Industry is Booming<\/h2>\n

In the midst of a labor shortage across the country, the Missouri cannabis industry has created more than 4,000 new jobs<\/a> in less than a year. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) has recently reported that the majority of licensed medical marijuana facilities are now approved to operate.
