In the dioecious plants, the male counterparts are often associated with the production of pollen\u2026which can be considered as the botanical version of sperm. While the female plant is often associated with the production of flowers or product through their ovules (ovaries equivalent).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Differences Between Male and Female Cannabis Plants<\/b><\/h2>\n

Since cannabis is a dioecious plant, it means that their gender is either female or male. The female plants are used for consumption and try to produce more and more resin in order to attract male plants for pollination. Male plants have pollen sacs and when they open, it pollinates the female plants, which causes the female to produce seeds. By using a strain of a male and a strain of the female, breeders are able to cross strains<\/a> to make new ones.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, in order to get the most of your growth for consumption, it is best to ensure that there are no males near to your females. When a female plant is kept from a male plant, it is <\/span>called sinsemilla<\/span><\/a>. If a female is introduced to a male plant, it will put most of its energy into producing seeds instead of producing more resin and buds, which we want strong and dense for high-quality products.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
