Elijah Davis is in the business of helping people.
When cannabis cleared his pain after a debilitating surgery, Davis’s life changed for the better. Now, he’s on a mission to help humans just like him find relief and serenity.
A decorated veteran of military intelligence, an educated businessman, and an all-around advocate for positivity and authenticity, Davis knew he had the skills and empathy required to truly make a difference in the lives of ordinary people experiencing hardship.

Enter Platinum 915, Davis’s life science brand that provides innovative—and fully legal—plant medicine products to anyone who needs them.
But Davis’s pure-hearted mission began long before the inception of Platinum 915. Rather, Davis heightened his understanding of plant medicine’s role as a universal connector from the very first time he tried cannabis himself.
Growing up an athlete in Florida, Davis had been taught to stay away from drugs – just like the rest of his generation. Combined with the knowledge that the war on drugs was particularly targeted against African American communities, Davis was careful to avoid cannabis for much of his life.
That is, until his neck surgery left him in debilitating pain.
“Growing up in the ‘80s, it was that big ‘just say no to drugs’ campaign, and for African Americans, it was frowned on big time. Like, we do not touch that stuff. Plus, I’d seen members of other families where drugs took a huge hit on them.” said Davis. “Fast forward to 2024 and what we know now, it’s totally a misconception.”
Unhappy with the drugs that his practitioner prescribed–opiates that caused him to gain weight and lose sight of his inner self–Davis’s life changed forever when his friend, a former member of the military who had his medical card, suggested he try cannabis for the pain.
Following a critical neck surgery, Davis found that cannabis was one of the only substances that helped with his pain.
The resulting effects were astounding for Davis. For the first time, he was able to experience relief from the pain that was negatively affecting every aspect of his life.
“As a former player, I was just totally against it, but I was in so much pain – I tried it. And it didn’t take much, it was just a small hit for someone who never smokes,” Davis shared. “And it put me on my butt, but guess what? I didn’t feel that pain. I didn’t feel my neck. And I was able to sleep for the first time.”
Moreover, Davis’s first experience with cannabis allowed him to feel connected to a higher power, and he began to investigate the natural relationship between receptors in the human body and plant medicine. While his first experience with cannabis may have caused a serious high, it cleared his mind to better understand his purpose, focus on his goals, and pursue a higher purpose–as a father, as a leader, and as a human.
“I’ve never had any other medicine that does what THC does where I’m not out of it either,”said Davis. “I’m still smart. I’m still connected. I can think and see clearly. That’s what cannabis allows for me.”
And this relief was not something that Davis wanted to gatekeep from the rest of the world. After all, he remains conscious of the idea that pain is a universal experience–be it chronic physical pain or emotional turmoil.
Davis is the founder and CEO of Platinum 915, a life science brand that seeks to empower its consumers to take control of their well-being through their fully-legal line of plant medicine products.
Platinum 915 sells hemp-derived cannabis products, as well as kava, damiana leaf, and nootropic mushrooms. And though the brand offers a wide range of products, one thing remains consistent: these products are designed to help people feel good. Whether that means pain relief, increased focus, or therapeutic euphoria.
Living in Texas, Davis’s life science business is subject to strict standards–especially concerning cannabis. Recreational cannabis is not yet legal in the Lonestar State, and its medical cannabis program is highly regulated, only allowing its patients access to low-THC cannabis products. With his Texas medical marijuana card, Davis is able to access cannabis products that are not available to every member of the state.
As such, when Davis discovered that hemp-derived cannabinoids like delta-8 THC, HHC, and THC-O were totally legal thanks to the Farm Bill of 2018–and could provide similar relief, this discovery took his goal of helping others to an entirely new level.
Platinum 915’s hemp-derived Rasta Rocks are designed to help with symptoms such as chronic pain or insomnia.
Nevertheless, states like Texas have their own regulations surrounding this bill. As such, Davis is careful to remain within his state’s standards. And, knowing that as an African American man, he must always stay conscious of systemic oppression, Davis is adamant about minding these regulations.
“For me, being African American, there’s racism in America, and the way to get around that – I just hire the experts. So since they’re already looking at me closely, I gotta make sure my I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed. I don’t get second chances.”
So, while navigating the regulations can sometimes be tricky, the Farm Bill, overall, makes it possible for businesses like Platinum 915 to provide hemp-derived medicine to those who need it on a larger scale–whether that be in states without medical cannabis programs or for those who may not qualify for medical cannabis because of narrow qualifying conditions in their state.
“I’m looking to help veterans like myself, people that are hurt, people that can’t get a medicinal card or they don’t qualify for one,” Davis shared. “That’s where I hope we come in with our products. We make it specifically for a purpose, where we don’t make it to get you high. It’s for people like us who have pain, but also have to get back to work and don’t want to be zonked.”
As such, this mission is prevalent throughout Platinum 915’s entire inventory. Their Rasta Rocks, for example, are designed to promote relief from pain and insomnia. They combine high CBD with low delta-9 THC concentration, to reap the synchronous benefits of the cannabis plant’s compounds without inducing an intense psychoactive high. As such, they’re ideal for those seeking help managing debilitating symptoms without compromising their workflow or concentration.
After all, Platinum 915 was designed with a pure-hearted mission to help others in mind.
Because Davis is a spiritual being to his core—recognizing his own divinity as a self-proclaimed “Earth Angel,”–his company is named after the angel number 915. This angel number represents harnessing internal strengths, following passions, and bravely expressing one’s true self. When the number 915 crosses one’s path, it is said to be a signal to break free from external pressures and expectations to create and express openly.
And, as such, this number has been a long-time symbol to Davis to remain his authentic self, through adversity and unexpected obstacles.
“We’re all humans with different roadblocks,” said Davis. “But just like our slogan says: if we trust ourselves, use our creativity, and trust our intuition, anything is possible.”
And it’s that attitude that propels Elijah Davis forward. Not only an inspiring story about how cannabis can provide relief and connection, Davis’s journey highlights the transformative power of resilience, authenticity, and trusting your intuition. Through his life science brand, Platinum 915, Davis has turned his personal experience with plant medicine into a mission to help others find relief and empower them to work through hardship and take control of their lives. Above all else, Davis’s commitment to providing legal, effective plant-based products, especially to those underserved by traditional medical systems, underscores his dedication to making a positive impact. By embracing his authentic self and encouraging others to do the same, Davis and Platinum 915 embody the spirit of the angel number they’re named after—empowering individuals to break free from limitations and create something beautiful in their lives.
As Davis puts it, with trust in ourselves and our intuition, the sky is the limit.

Cannabis may help many things — manage pain, curb anxiety, change your mood, and, of course, make you munch your face off like some kind of eating machine. The munchies and weed go hand-in-hand; however, not always. Strains for weight loss are a real thing for consumers wishing to avoid packing on extra pounds from excessive…
According to 2020 data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 14.5% of adults have trouble falling asleep most days, while 17.8% have trouble staying asleep. Other reports estimate that 50 to 70 million Americans have sleep disorders, and roughly 84 million don’t regularly get enough sleep to stay healthy. This widespread lack of sleep…
In a safe and perfect world, everyone who needs cannabis could go to a dispensary and buy safety-tested products from licensed producers. Unfortunately, we are far from living in a perfect world.
