As we wrap up 2024, we decided to take a look back at all of the ways Veriheal has grown since we first launched in 2017. Veriheal Staff: Where Are We?
We wouldn’t be able to help our patients without our incredible team of doctors, administrators, software developers, writers, graphic designers, videographers, patient care representatives, and other employees – and that’s just the tip of our iceberg.
Veriheal employs more than 100 people around the world. While most of us are concentrated in the continental United States, we also have people working to serve you from Canada, Pakistan, and India.
Our U.S. employees can be found in Colorado, Georgia, Florida, New York, and Maryland. Our doctors have an even wider reach, coming from states including:
Since our doctors come from all corners of the nation, they’re able to better understand your needs and help you source products that are most able to help you right at home.
Customers Served
Veriheal is the national leader in medical marijuana cards, and we’ve assisted more than one million people to date in getting and renewing their cannabis prescriptions. In doing so, we’re proud to have made a difference in destigmatizing the use of cannabis for medical purposes and making it more widely accepted as a form of healthcare.
We’re working on bringing our coverage to 100% of the United States and adding more states to our network every year. We value every single one of our states, but some utilize our services more than others. Our top states served to date are:
Pennsylvania
Ohio
New Jersey
Florida
Oklahoma
Maryland
New York
Illinois
Virginia
Arizona
Top Health Conditions Treated by MMJ
One of the most important data sets we draw from each year reflects what mental and physical health conditions our customers are seeking cannabis to treat. By understanding this, we can better equip our doctors to study and understand how cannabis can help these conditions. In turn, they are able to make improved recommendations to you on strains, terpenes, and products that will provide you with the relief you deserve.
We survey all of our customers, from those under 18 to seniors, to get the broadest reach possible. So, what ailments do you typically use cannabis for? Our top responses each year include chronic pain, insomnia, arthritis, HIV/AIDS, cancer, seizures, Chron’s disease, nausea, and muscle spasms. These are often the most common conditions approved for cannabis use in states with medical programs.
Fortunately, as cannabis research continues to develop, science is finding that THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids have proven benefits in helping with all of these conditions – whether it’s simply providing pain relief or helping people eat while sick. Many of our patients have expressed gratitude for being able to use fewer pharmaceuticals in their wellness routines, as cannabis has fewer side effects and greater benefits in the long run.
Our Education and Reach
Providing MMJ cards isn’t the only thing we do at Veriheal – we also work hard to provide thorough, comprehensive, and well-researched education on all things cannabis.
Our content team keeps tabs on evolving cannabis studies to ensure our blog stays updated on the latest scientific findings, such as how marijuana treats a certain condition or newly discovered terpenes. We also track news, politics, and legislation to help you understand the ways cannabis legalization is trending nationwide. And, of course, we aim to provide fun, lighthearted insights into cannabis culture – whether it’s coverage of Snoop Dogg attending the Olympics or debunking common stoner myths.
While exploring our content hub, you’ll also find recipes and crafts, interviews on our podcast, and tips and tricks to get the most out of your stash. Truly, we have it all!
Since Veriheal’s inception, we’ve been featured in well-regarded national publications such as Forbes, Business Wire, Ganjapreneur, Rolling Stone, and USA Today – and this is only the beginning.
Your Biggest Questions About Cannabis
In order to provide you with answers, we first have to understand what you want to know – and people have a lot of questions about cannabis.
For decades, anti-cannabis propaganda and the failed War on Drugs left people with many confusing, and often untrue, beliefs about the plant and people who used it. Fortunately, those stigmas are dispelling faster than ever, but it’s taking time to quell misguided conceptions of what cannabis can really do. To help speed things along, we’re working to clear up the smoke by finding and answering your most common queries.
So, what are they? Your top searches (and our answers!) are:
Veriheal couldn’t exist without the support of our patients and readers, so we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued patronage over the years. In the school of life, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the most popular intoxicating cannabis compound, is like the popular kid everyone knows by name. It’s more like the quiet honor student: low-key, non-intoxicating, rarely…
In the confusing landscape of state-by-state medical marijuana legalization and federal prohibition lies a patient’s pursuit of a better quality of life, balanced with an unrestricted financial livelihood. In workplaces across many different medical marijuana legal states, no law guarantees that a valid, card-carrying MMJ patient status exempts an employee from termination or discrimination stemming…
