Cosmetics Design Europe spoke to a French cannabis company called Ho Karan, that specializes in cannabis-based, natural, and holistic beauty products. The CEO and founder, Laure Bouguen stated that the potential of cannabis for beauty products stretches far beyond that of the cannabidiol (CBD) compound found in cannabis and that she plans on making use of the entire plant in order to bring consumers anti-stress products. CBD skincare market is estimated to be worth $1.7 Billion by 2025 according to Grand View Research Inc. Although CBD make-up has made the list of trending products, consumers seem to be more attracted to the CBD beauty products aimed at providing care and health benefits over the beauty products used for cosmetics. The CBD products for skincare also include sunscreen, lip care, scrub, and salve.

Broad-spectrum CBD products contain a range of the compounds but exclude THC, while CBD isolates products merely contain CBD. Cannabis compounds include cannabinoids (like THC and CBD), terpenes, and flavonoids. All the cannabis compounds offer their own respective benefits but work best in its entourage effect. Although CBD beauty products are trending, it would seem that making use of full- and broad- spectrum cannabis content will offer up the best benefits for consumers.
