Jack-o’-lanterns are so overdone. Combine cannabis with carving and celebrate Halloween the right way. Our simple guide will teach you how you can make your very own DIY pumpkin bong. You’ll be taking hits off your new pumpkin bong in no time.
Get a medium-to-large pumpkin. Keep in mind that you will have to carve the pumpkin out and fill it with water. I recommend finding a pumpkin that is not too tall and can easily sit on its bottom.
Carve the top of the pumpkin so that you can remove the top.
Remove all the pumpkin innards and wipe the inside down so there’s no pulp. You want this to be as clean as possible so you don’t get pulp or seeds shot up into your throat when you take a hit.
Choose a spot near the top; this will serve as your mouthpiece.
Cut that spot and hollow it out with a screwdriver.
On the other side of the pumpkin, cut a hole a bit lower than where you cleared out space for your mouthpiece. This hole is where you will put the downstem.
Use the screwdriver to hollow out the downstem hole.
Place a glass or silicone downstem in the second hole.
Place a bowl piece in the downstem.
Fill the pumpkin with water so it submerges the downstem (but not too full). Practice pulling from the mouthpiece to check the water level.
Optional: Put a filter in the mouth hole if you want to make sure you’re not getting any random bits of debris in your throat. A filter also allows you to share your new pumpkin bong creation and friends and family much more easily.

Cannabis seeds, aka beans, come in a lot of different varieties. As more states move toward legalization, accurately detecting impaired driving is of the utmost importance. Field Sobriety Tests (FSTs) have long been the go-to method for law enforcement to assess driver impairment caused by substances like alcohol. However, a recent 2023 study published in JAMA Psychiatry raises serious questions about the accuracy of these tests…
