Have you ever wondered what the future of cannabis looks like? As a daily consumer, this thought has always been in the back of my mind. Recently, I got a glimpse of what that future might look like when Terrapin Care Station invited me out to see their new ACE cannabis vending machine. Let me tell you, reader: As excited as I was to check it out, the experience itself more than lived up to my wildest expectations.
ACE stands for Automatic Cannabis Experience. This vending machine is similar to what you’d see at an airport or waiting room but with a bit more size to it. The machine has a built-in ID scanner to ensure each patient meets the age requirement. A large digital touch screen allows patients to scroll through a wide variety of products like vape cartridges, wax, flower, and pre-rolls. ACE is a cash-only transactional machine; however, its creators have assured us that they will be incorporating a card payment feature in the near future.

Buying cannabis from the ACE vending machine is an absolute breeze allowing you to skip those long dispensary lines. However, first-time users may still prefer to have a knowledgeable budtender at their disposal. That being said, any experienced cannabis consumer should be more than equipped to use the machine.
We had such a blast learning about the machine and trying it firsthand. I loved how simple the ordering process was and that I didn’t feel rushed in any sense of the word. This was an incredibly memorable experience, and I couldn’t help but feel like I was living in 2050. Here’s to hoping we see more ACE machines pop up in the future near you. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll even see them around malls, waiting rooms, and airports all over the U.S.
