Dear Reader,
Welcome to the first-ever issue of Rotation Magazine.
There would be no Rotation without Veriheal, the medical card provider founded on the unapologetic belief that no one should be discriminated against for using cannabis. And while Rotation hopes to touch on so much more in the alternative wellness world, this issue is a love letter to the special little plant that started it all: the one that brought us into the same room and pushed us to realize that our small team could make big change in an industry historically bound by red tape and stigma.
At Rotation headquarters, we often marvel at the privilege of working in the cannabis industry during this time in American history – when some of us have access to more weed than we know what to do with, others remain shackled by outdated laws, and far too many are still incarcerated for possessing a plant used by healers for centuries.
We hope for a future of widespread acceptance, and we’re privileged to be the voices pushing to make this future a reality.
With this publication, we use our privilege in urgency: to educate, to advocate, and to elevate lived experiences. By doing so, we’re following in the footsteps of changemakers like Patricia Hill Collins, bell hooks, Tarana Burke, Kimberlee Crenshaw, and other theorists who taught us that experience sharing is a transformative method for fostering community and understanding. Experience sharing is deeply human. By connecting humans who may, on the surface, feel like they have nothing in common, this practice is fundamental for education and bringing real change to light.

More than anything, this first issue is a true labor of love. As you read it now, we’re hoping you can feel this love – and the devotion we put behind the hours hunched over our computers, creating, compromising, and probably enduring extensive blue light exposure from which our eyes may never heal.
In a spiritual sense, Rotation Magazine comes to you directly from the back patio of our Denver office. There, we have spent countless hours in rain, snow, and sunshine (more often than not passing some form of herbal medicine between us). And in those moments together, we shared more than just cannabis: we shared stories, tears, laughter, snacks, and, of course, juicy gossip. In sharing this space together, we found something much larger than any of us could have ever imagined.
But this isn’t just our story anymore — it’s yours, too. We’re honored to share it with you, and we hope it feels a little like home.
With Love,
Kym, Rachael, Hayley, and the Rotation Team

So you already love smoking cannabis, but did you know that the type of paper you use can make or break the experience? Whether you’re rolling a quick joint or prepping for a smoke session with a blunt, the right paper makes all the difference. When you first start smoking joints or blunts, the…
Prior to the 2000s, artificial intelligence (AI) for many was either theoretical, fantastical, or a recurring bad guy in the Terminator movies. That changed after ChatGPT went live in November 2022. Now, AI has become an intrinsic part of everyday life, which is why you have at least one AI-powered app on your phone right…
Lyme Disease and its lingering effects can take a serious physical and mental toll on those who suffer from it. Lyme disease is the most commonly transmitted tick-borne disease in the U.S., and its infection rates continue to rise each year. Cannabis helps manage a wide range of related symptoms (e.g., joint pain, fatigue,…
Hair care can get expensive, especially with all of the special ingredients available in today’s market. One often overlooked ingredient for soft and smooth hair is cannabidiol (CBD). Although there is a range of CBD hair products on the market, you may be interested in saving some bucks and making your own. We’ll show you…
A federal appeals court recently punted on a case brought to it regarding the unconstitutionality of a Supreme Court case decided 20 years ago. Legal experts predict the verdict will land back in front of the Supreme Court. The balance of federal cannabis prohibition could potentially be at stake if so, begging the question, is…
