Do you have a chazzed banger? Can a banger that’s chazzed be fixed? How do I avoid chazzing my banger? Wait, what are chazzed bangers in the first place? These are all great questions that we are going to explore together. When it comes to the world of cannabis concentrates, there’s a lot to learn. The devices used to smoke concentrates are not called bowls. The most common way to consume dabs is by using a dab rig. Dab rigs will often have a quartz banger and require a torch in order to heat them sufficiently. In order to get a proper dab, you will also need a carb cap, a dab tool, and some concentrate. Don’t worry though, by the time you’re done with this article you will understand all about chazzing, and possibly even a little bit more about cannabis concentrates.
Cannabis legalization has ushered in a new era where more consumers than ever before are learning about this widely misunderstood plant. There is a lot more to cannabis than just smoking it. It used to be joints bowls and bongs. Today the world of cannabis has evolved into one that favors concentrates. Cannabis concentrates have increased in sales substantially especially since COVID-19 began. Perhaps consumers are looking for more bang for their buck because money is tight. Or they may just need something more potent to help them relax from the stress of life as it currently is. Whatever the reason more people are dabbing.
The Wrong and Right Way to Dab
When it comes to dabbing, there is a right way to do it and a wrong way to do it. The right way to dab will produce enjoyable results that are extremely tasty and effective. The wrong way will immediately produce a bitter taste, an uncomfortable sweat, followed by an explosive cough that could last an undetermined amount of time. Sometimes there is even crying, snotting, and even vomiting involved and the resulting high is significantly less delightful. This is not the way to dab.
Dabbing should be done in a way that is enjoyable and also preserves your glass pieces. When it comes to glass and smoking devices, you get what you pay for and prices can certainly soar. Naturally, you’ll want to take the precautions to care for them properly to make sure they last. Chazzing will severely diminish the quality of your bangers thus negatively impacting the effectiveness of your cannabis product. You can do a simple web search on how to dab properly and find out all kinds of information. For the most part, it involves heating a banger up and allowing a sufficient amount of time for it to cool down. Sadly, too many people do their dab too hot. When you do a dab too hot in an essence you are letting your money go up in smoke. This is because at extremely hot temperatures cannabinoids are greatly reduced. In short, when you do really hot dabs, you’re losing potency. You’re also losing flavor.

Cold Start Dabs Will Help Preserve Your Banger
If you’re new to dabbing or consider yourself pretty good at it make sure you’re familiar with cold start dabbing. A cold start dab is very different. The effects produced by a cold start dab are generally much stronger not to mention the taste is incredibly delicious. If you are cold start dabbing chances are you will never find a burnt dirty looking banger attached to your dab rig.
When dabs are burned too hot or too much heat is applied to a quartz banger it gets a grayish-black haze to the glass. This is referred to as ‘chazzed’. Chazzed is slang for charred or burnt. Cold start dabs will prevent your banger from becoming chazzed. Keeping a clean banger is very important. After each use, it should be cleaned out using a Qtip and isopropyl alcohol or acetone. If you leave concentrates inside of your banger without proper cleaning, you will also run the risk of ending up with a chazzed banger when you go to re-heat it.
All That Chazz
If you happen to misjudge the cool downtime on your banger and end up with that unattractive blackish gray color you might have to replace it. But before you go out and replace it, try to salvage it by cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol. After you know all of the concentrates have been cleaned out of the banger, use a torch to apply intense heat in order to burn off the residual chazziness left behind. Be careful in which direction you point the flame of your torch as areas around the banger can become extremely hot. Bangers are made of quartz but most dab rigs are not. This means if you put heat on them, they will break.
There are solutions you can soak a chased banger in and then clean it down with isopropyl alcohol. After it has been cleaned you can take a Dremel tool and sand down the discolored areas of the banger. Unless the banger has immense sentimental value, I would recommend just getting a new one. However, the best thing you can do is to always maintain your bangers properly thus preventing chazzing from ever happening. Hopefully, now that you know more about this topic as well as ways in which it can be prevented, you will never have the issue of chazzed bangers ruining your sesh!

Have you tried making your own. Got tired of high prices. Started making my own. I’ve been pretty happy this far. Always trying to make minor adjustments and taking advice plus YouTube research. End product keeps getting tastier and tastier. I think I got it down now. I don’t use butane though. That would be the biggest difference in quality. I just don’t want to… yet. Still using 99.99% iso.

Navigating the laws on traveling with medical marijuana (MMJ) is incredibly confusing with the current global stance on cannabis. People have been smoking joints for a long time. The first rolling papers surfaced around the early 1500s in Alcoy, Spain. These weren’t like the rolling papers we know today though. Just in time for the holidays, the Jet Lag strain brings a smoking experience completely different than what the name suggests.
