Water is the most essential element to life on Earth. It’s personally my favorite element and one of my favorite drinks. It’s vital to the mechanics of the human body, and makes up more than two thirds of human body weight. The body cannot work without it, just as a car cannot run without gas and oil. It goes without saying that for those of us privileged to have free access to water should not take it so lightly. Thus, drinking water, especially in the morning, is simple to put into practice, and virtually free. It also has amazing therapeutic effects for a multitude of health conditions—ranging from pain to asthma to even cancer. It has long been known that drinking water upon rising in the morning on an empty stomach purifies the body’s internal system. This practice is referred to as water therapy.
The best way to maximize water therapy is drinking 1.50 liters of water upon waking in the morning. That would be equivalent to five-six glasses of water. Of course, the better the quality of water you consume, the better the results you’ll experience from water therapy. Don’t drink or eat anything else one hour prior and after drinking the water, and don’t consume any alcoholic beverages the night before. I’ve attempted water therapy during a seven day program and not only did it feel amazing but my body felt cleansed and rejuvenated. I would recommend when starting it out, you may want to make it easier by modifying the protocol slightly. For instance, drink four glasses, take a two-five minute break, and then drink the last two glasses. It’s a simple task that can be kept up under repetition and the long term outcome of it is essential to holistic living. There have been thousands of years of research on water therapy and it continuously proves to cure for arthritis, epilepsy, bronchitis, meningitis, diarrhea, and throat diseases.

One main advantage of drinking water in the morning is that it will purify the colon, making it easier to absorb nutrients. That’s pretty unbelievable that such a luxury at our disposal can do so much for the body and mind. This purification is achieved through the production of new blood, or haematopaises. This fresh blood has an immense restorative effect in the body and can even cure existing ailments. Some other advantages of drinking water in the morning is that it increases the production of new blood and muscle cells, helps with weight loss, and can boost your metabolism by 20% in the morning. Drinking water in the morning also gets you glowing skin and balances your lymph system. These are the glands that help you perform your daily functions, balance your body fluids, and fight infection. This basically free therapy has been practiced for centuries and is no surprise that it originates from the East in ancient Ayurvedic medicine. In Sanskrit, the name for the practice is Usha Paana Chikitsa, which roughly translates to “early morning water treatment.”

“Stoned,” “high,” “tripping,” and “baked,” are all terms engrained in the cannabis community. These metaphorical descriptions contribute to how we perceive, interpret, and learn from the experiences produced by cannabis consumption. Cannabis experiences, of course, are unique and highly variable. Specific plant strains, the presence of other cannabinoids, different delivery methods, and a user’s individual…
Thanks to the growing wave of legalization, more consumers than ever can grow their own cannabis right at home. Growing essentials that used to be secretive are now bought and sold freely. This includes items, like grow tents, nutrients, LED lighting, HPS lighting, ventilation, and more. Keeping all these items straight is hard enough, but…
Skin diseases plague millions of individuals, inflicting both physical discomforts in addition to mental and social stress. Thankfully, there is no shortage of skin treatment options available on the market. That said, this established market may soon be in for a major shake-up if recent cannabis research is any indication. Traditionally, cannabis research focused on studying…
As more states move toward legalization, accurately detecting impaired driving is of the utmost importance. Field Sobriety Tests (FSTs) have long been the go-to method for law enforcement to assess driver impairment caused by substances like alcohol. However, a recent 2023 study published in JAMA Psychiatry raises serious questions about the accuracy of these tests…
