Alongside the holidays come the all-too-familiar stresses of the season, and a recent survey conducted by CBD Oracle revealed that Americans are changing the way they cope with the holiday chaos. Thanks to the wave of cannabis legalization sweeping the country, it seems that many Americans are ditching their cocktails for joints this year.
CBD Oracle surveyed 2,000 cannabis users to find out how holiday consumption habits were changing across the country. Of those polled, close to 70% said that they planned to use cannabis over the holidays, with 65% saying that cannabis would replace most, if not all, of their alcohol intake.

Additionally, 48% of respondents said that smoking would make them more comfortable discussing difficult topics like politics with their families. Look at cannabis bringing families together! Speaking of which, 47% of those polled even said that they would be willing to get together and smoke with their families.
While this is all great news, the poll also had some discouraging figures. For example, 49% said they would drive while high, and 12% said they would drive drunk and high. This should be a cause for concern, as numbers have shown that car crashes resulting in injuries increase by 6% in states where cannabis is legal. Though researchers have pointed out that some of these incidents can be attributed to mixing cannabis and alcohol, intoxicated driving is always risky and should be avoided.
While Veriheal highly endorses a high holiday, make sure to stay off the roads after consuming. Happy Holidays, from our family to yours.
